Meet Captain Charlie
Saltwater fishing has always been my passion. I have been fishing the Texas Coastal Bend since I was 11 years old, just big enough to rope-start a 20 hp motor. I walked my catch home in a "Red Flyer" wagon, often selling the fish on the way home to help pay the bills.
After a year of college, I began my career of commercial fishing. San Antonio Bay, Copano Bay, Aransas Bay, Redfish Bay, Corpus Christi Bay and Nueces Bay became my backyard playground, and Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Flounder and Sheephead became my friends. In 1989 I earned my US Coastguard License, obtained my Professional Guide License with Texas Parks and Widlife, and over the years became a top notch South Texas Fishing Guide .
Unlike most guides, I fish full time and year round, and have been doing so for over 25 years. I have lived in Aransas Pass nearly all my life, and fish the bays and flats of Port Aransas, Rockport, Ingleside, Aransas Pass, Portland, and Corpus Christi.
I am the proud owner of a 240 SVT TranCat with a brand new 225 four stroke Mercury, fully equipped with the best 12 inch screen Lowrance makes, a Powerpole, and the latest Minnkota Trolling motor, to help me be the best in the game. It allows me to fish all those shallow places where most boats don't dare go. She goes with me everywhere I go and is the only one on earth that knows all my secret fishing holes. As you can see...I LOVE TO FISH!!!
